..to go green with your home, but when we started looking for ourselves we found it far too complex:
- Lots of “Green Jargon” & hard to get good advice
- Unclear grant system & government policy

- Quite a lot of ‘hard sell’ practitioners
- Lack of visibility on prices and ‘woolly’ paybacks.
In fact, just about every reason to be put off!
Who are we?
We’re three guys who (maybe like you) wanted to make a difference and also reduce our bills.
And with 8 kids under 10 between us, we know a lot about energy use and minimizing it. We also know that we all need to do something tangible to improve their future. Without it costing the earth.
But the options for domestic ‘clean energy’ are confusing and it’s hard to know where to go & who to trust. Now, we’re not stupid, so we thought it was probably hard for everyone else too; and until it gets easier to buy clean energy solutions for the home we’ll be miles from making any difference.
With over 30 years combined experience at the cutting edge of new consumer technology, we believe we can bring you the best solutions on the market, with all the guarantees and reassurance to match. We also think our backgrounds in consumer businesses give us the experience to serve you better than the competition.
What’s different about It Won’t Cost The Earth?
Yes, there are a lot of businesses out there selling solutions of one sort or another. But we’ve yet to find one that makes the different options clear & simple. A lot of businesses seem quite ‘hard-sell’ whilst others are hard to buy from! Very few seem to be focussed on the customer, and prices vary enormously for seemingly similar options.
We aim to:
- Clarify. This market needs demystifying.
- Simplify. We help you find the right solution. If we don’t offer it yet, we will still tell you!
- Be honest. If you trust us & we do a good job you will recommend us. Simple.
- Be competitive. We all want to make a difference, but the maths need to work too!
- Be Green. We will do all we can to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
So, we have created It Won’t Cost The Earth with integrity & sustainability at its core. For example:
- You get an initial quote online (FreeQuote). This is to be upfront about the costs.
- There is no ‘hard-sell’. If you like our initial quote it’s up to you to contact us to go any further.
- We don’t send a surveyor to your house unless we have to. This means less travel (and less fuel burned), and lower prices. It requires a bit of work on your part to give information on your property, but you didn’t think saving The Earth was going to be easy, did you?
- We use local installers who we accredit. This means that the installation team are usually based within 30 miles of you, not 300.
- Our Solar Thermal systems are produced in the most energy efficient and least wasteful process possible.
