On Today programme this morning he sounded very credible. Nuclear where needed to keep the lights on – but no massive drive towards nuclear? Fantastic.
As I have blogged before, Britain can lead the world. So shall we lead them to nuclear power? That most can’t afford and can’t do? No. Lets make renewables the core, and then use nuclear tactically (excuse the armageddon analogy) where we need to ‘keep the lights on’.
Temper the right wing extremists; push aside those who want to confuse and confound – use renewables to their maximum, accepting where cloudy days and still nights will need us to still have gas and nuclear plants. Ideal.
I like the Centrica ‘rattled’ stories.
